| Abstract: |
This chapter will describe the changes in hard dental tissues, at a histological level, that occur during the initiation and progression of carious lesions. The histopathological zones of dental caries in enamel and dentin will be imaged and analyzed, starting from incipient and reaching advanced lesions. Finally, the correlation of the histopathological changes with the clinical picture of the lesions will be analyzed. The chapter will be structured with texts, microscope images and interactive figures.
