Abstract:
In this chapter, reference will be made to the physiology and chemical composition of saliva. It will refer to the normal and pathological secretion of saliva. The basic principles and stages of the formation of the sialic membrane will be analyzed. Reference will be made to the basic principles of the formation of biofilms and dental microbial plaque (DMP) in the oral environment. The way of attachment of microorganisms to the various surfaces of the oral cavity and especially to the hard dental tissues will be described. The entire development of the topic, in addition to text, will also be done with interactive shapes, images and videos.
