Abstract: |
Τhis chapter touches upon major public health concerns concerning the future of food security and the need to limit the ongoing exploitation of physical resources and the continuing degradation of the environment. Specifically, moral and ethical issues relevant to modern food production practices are analysed while current trends such as favouring meat avoidance, reducing food waste, and turning to a diet based on foods produced locally are discussed.
