Description:
Abstract:
The fifth chapter describes the monetary model of the balance of payment. In doing so, it first introduces the balance sheet of the central bank and its implications for monetary policy. Then it analyses equilibrium focusing on the wealth holdings of individuals (instead of consumption spending) and examines the effects of a monetary expansion and a currency depreciation.
