Abstract: |
This chapter introduces the concept of a program flow control structure and describes the most basic structures used in procedural programming, focusing on the structures supported by Python. An opportunity is also given to talk about logical representations and logical conditions which are used by the control structures and alter the execution flow. Typical examples for each of the flow control structures are presented in an interactive way: the reader can run examples with his own input and observe step by step how the execution of the program modifies the variables, how logical decisions are made based on them, how the execution flow is altered, and finally, how the final result is reached. There are also slides with audio that show additional examples.
