Abstract: |
This chapter examines two prose writers, George Ioannou and Kostas Tachisis, who sought through their work to contribute to a change in the way society in the 1960s viewed love, difference and delinquency, suggesting greater tolerance and sympathy. In contrast to the 'angry' writers who oppose the 'evil god', these writers tended in a usually mild way to promote certain aspects of Christian morality, using commonly accepted faith to promote leniency towards a variety of deviant behaviours.
