In this chapter, we will analyze the problem of multicollinearity in empirical analysis. First, the forms and consequences of multicollinearity are presented, and then the ways of detecting it are both theoretically and with concrete practical examples in Gretl are given. Then the ways of dealing with multicollinearity both theoretically and in practice are presented.
