Description:
Abstract:
Recent decades have seen a significant revival of the social economy linked to the decline of the welfare state. The social enterprise is the main vehicle of the social economy. The principles of the social enterprise are summarised in prioritizing social over economic goals, equal decision-making and limited distribution of profits. Relatively recently, in the context of the recent economic crisis and threat of climate change, international organizations and national governments are implementing a set of policies to enhance social entrepreneurship as they serve important social and economic goals, while facing additional difficulties compared to private enterprises.
