Abstract: |
The access of young people into the labour market is currently extremely problematic. In this context, self-employment and the creation of a business emerge as an important professional and career prospect for young people. However, involvement with entrepreneurship is not considered as an option for a large portion of young people, while those who undertake entrepreneurial activity run businesses that show mixed results. National governments and international organizations recognise the immediate and potential benefits that youth entrepreneurship can bring and thus, they implement a set of policy measures to create an enabling environment for its promotion and development.
