Abstract: |
A brief presentation to the current experimental implementation of the quantum computer is attempted. Reference is made to the general characteristics and requirements of the structure and architecture of a quantum computer. The most popular candidate technologies for the realization of physical qubits are briefly described, such as qubits in atomic ion traps, in superconducting junctions, photonic qubits, and NMR techniques in nitrogen point defects.
