Abstract: |
Elements of classical computing, which are necessary to understand the topics of quantum computing are presented. A concise presentation of the concepts of the basic principles of computing is attempted. The circuit model is introduced as an alternative model of the Turing machine. Finally, we briefly address issues of computational complexity and energy requirements for a computation.
