In this chapter, the reader is introduced to the concept of interface. Initially, the philosophy and general characteristics of interfaces are provided. Next, the steps for creating an interface and the criteria for designing interfaces are presented. The topics of interface creation and code modularization into multiple files are examined through a series of four examples, where concepts, language constructs, and tools studied in this and previous chapters are utilized.
