Abstract:
In this chapter, files are studied. Initially, the reader is introduced to the concepts of streams or channels and intermediate memory, and the definition of a file in the C language is provided. Text files and binary files are examined, describing the functions of opening/closing, reading, and writing data. Next, random access of a binary file is presented along with reading/writing line by line. In the final section, an extensive example of program development is presented, implementing various file operations and utilizing concepts and tools developed in previous chapters.
