Abstract:
In this chapter, the reader is introduced to the concepts of structured design and functions. The structural and functional characteristics of the function (declaration, definition, body, parameter list, return value) are provided, and the process of call by value is described. The categories of variables are studied based on their scope and duration, and the operations of local and static variables within functions are described. The concept of recursion is analyzed, and the operation of recursive functions is presented with the help of examples. At the end of the chapter, two examples of structured code development are provided.
