Abstract:
In this chapter, the reader is introduced to the concept of flow control in programming. Sequential and selective execution of statements are presented, along with the language constructs for conditional branching and iterative statements. These concepts are specialized for the C language, where if-else, switch-case, while, for, and do-while statements are studied. The functional equivalence of the three types of iteration statements is analyzed, and nested loops and exit-controlled loops are described in detail.
