A comprehensive outline of Oracle's product components and an overview of the accompanying application architecture philosophy are provided. The environment (components) SQL*PLUS, i.e. the environment for using SQL, and the language (technology) ORACLE PL/SQL are outlined. The implementation of a database management application using the JAVA programming language, Apache Netbeans IDE application development software, and ORACLE company's database management system is presented.
