| Abstract: |
In the second chapter we focus on the shipyard and define its particular components. We record data related to shipyard’s terminology and shipyard’s atmosphere. We give special mention to the geopolitical and topographical importance of the location of a shipyard. Looking back at historic shipyards over a period of 2500 years, we present a panorama of the evolution of shipyard’s facilities, which echoes the culture and innovation of each era.
