Abstract:
In the eighth chapter, the concepts of torque and angular momentum are given, as well as their correlation with the corresponding transport quantities of force and momentum respectively. The principle of conservation of angular momentum is presented. The torque work and the work-kinetic energy theorem in fixed-axis rotation are defined. Rotation with a moving axis and body roll are described too. Finally, the phenomenon of precession is studied.
