In the first chapter, an introduction to Physics is made as a natural science, the basic theories of Physics, the objects of its study, and their order of magnitude. A conceptual description of physical quantities is made to describe physical systems, standard quantities, and basic systems of measurement units. The importance of inertial and non-inertial reference systems is also noticed. The method of dimensional analysis is presented, as well as the description of the basic rules and operations through the significant figures. The chapter closes with a presentation of the basic properties and operations of vectors.
