Abstract:
The 7th chapter entitled "Active movement as a measure to promote the health of employees" presented for the first time in the Greek area all those elements that make up the promotion of the health of employees through active movement to and from their work. Understanding the great benefits of physical activity, understanding the difficulties but also the opportunities that exist for physical activity, and treating each employee as unique and special in his workplace, data concerning the socio-economic profile of the workers are analyzed as well as data concerning gender, age and other factors that influence the decision of employees to be active as well as their attitude towards physical activity. Also, the conditions that should be created by businesses are mentioned to form the appropriate environments that will carry out the levers of encouragement, awareness, and mobilization of employees to get involved in this type of physical activity.
