Description:
Abstract:
In this chapter, the instructional technique “Exercise in groups with development of ideas” is presented, one of the group exercise techniques that follow the model of group learning. At the beginning, Bloom's cognitive taxonomy is briefly presented. This deals with the levels of mental demands and skills involved in learning. Based on the requirements and skills, a list of verbs is suggested for formulating activities at each level of the taxonomy. Verbs help learners to formulate a step-by-step plan of activities for a given unit of study they undertake to teach. An example on the subject of “computer networks” is presented and accompanied by empirical data, which results from the implementation of the instructional to University students.
