Description:
Abstract:
The book is to be used as a laboratory aid for the courses of General Entomology and Zoology, Acereology and Nematology. As there are no corresponding laboratory textbooks available for these courses, the development of the electronic interactive textbook is expected to significantly help to improve the quality of the education provided to students of Agricultural Departments. The thematic units - chapters of the book correspond to laboratory exercises and refer to elements of morphology, anatomy as well as to behaviour of the main species of the Animal Kingdom with agricultural importance. Emphasis will be placed on the Phyla Arthropoda (Classes Insecta, Arachnida, Chilopoda, Diplopoda, Crustacea), Molluscs (Gastropoda: snails and limpets), Ringworms, Nematodes and Chordates (rodents). For a better understanding of the exercise, each chapter of the text includes, in addition to a significant number of illustrations and diagrams, useful bibliographic references, active hyperlinks to websites with supplementary educational material, and student self-assessment questions.
