Description:
Abstract:
Design using computers is a multidimensional subject. It covers topics from computer graphics and digital imaging to the creation of architectural, mechanical, electrical, industrial, and topographical designs and maps. In addition, design using computers includes informatics knowledge regarding the operation and specifications of the peripheral devices of the PC for the input of images or designs, and the peripheral devices used for their performance outside the computer. It also includes knowledge of the operation of the computer and its peripherals about color management and performance. This book attempts to cover at a satisfactory level all the above objects, specializing more, however, in design with CAD software and Autodesk AutoCAD, giving the student, researcher, and anyone else interested in knowledge and education the possibility to have a complete picture of the subject of Computer Design. In the last two chapters, the book focuses on practical topics around Computer Design to understand the theoretical chapters 1 to 8, focusing on design topics related to the science of Agronomist and Surveyor Engineering by providing material from the laboratory exercises done in the context of the "Design using computers" course at the Department of Rural and Surveying Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the presentation of topographical design methodologies using AutoCAD software.
