Abstract: |
In recent years, the innovative technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution have catalyzed the health "ecosystem" and contributed to the emergence of the new multidisciplinary field of "Digital Health". The conceptual clarification and delimitation of the goals served by Digital Health, as well as the outline of new trends and challenges in this field, are the primary concern of this book. At the same time, having as our main goal that the readers acquire a complete and thorough aspect of the field of Digital Health, a diverse network of innovative applications that have been developed and adopted both internationally and nationally is described in detail. The book is structured in ten chapters: Chapter 1, acting as an introduction to this book, focuses on the conceptual clarification of Digital Health in the 21st century. The 2nd chapter aims to clarify and define the field of Artificial Intelligence in the health ecosystem. The 3rd chapter deals with Big Data in health. The 4th chapter is dedicated to the field of Mobile Health, which is one of the most widespread aspects of Digital Health. The 5th chapter refers to the Electronic Health File. The 6th chapter described in detail the advanced technologies of Virtual and Augmented Reality in the health sector. Chapter 7 is focused on Unmanned Aircraft and their multidimensional contribution to the health ecosystem. The 8th chapter focuses on the advanced technology of 3D Printing. Chapter 9 presents the field of Digital Epidemiology, which is a key pillar on which modern epidemiological surveillance is based. The 10th chapter is the culmination of this book and focuses on the brief description and assessment of the most important challenges emerging in the field of Digital Health.
