History of the Greek language
Ancient Greek dialects
The present textbook consists of two sections: The first section is introductory and includes two chapters, while the second section focuses on issues briefly presented in the first section and includes four chapters. In particular, the chapters of the introductory section concern language change and the synoptic presentation of the history of the Greek language. The in-depth chapters (concern) etymology, onomastics, ancient Greek dialects and the learned level in modern Greek. The originality of the book lies not only in the holistic, concise, creative, pedagogical and multimodal utilization and completion of contemporary literature, alongside the addition of exercises and evaluation tests, but also in the submission of a new model for the development of digital lecture notes data bank that provides material to be used by teachers of historical linguistics courses.
