Abstract: |
A methodological proposal that responds to the demands of modern education is the so-called "Teaching Scenarios" (TS), since they create conditions for students' engagement with issues that interest them, encourage them to search answers to questions and problem solving, while at the same time familiarize them with cooperation and group discussions. This digital book addresses the pedagogical issues arising from Digital Media supported Teaching Scenarios (DMTS). It attempts to introduce readers to the logic of the Teaching Scenario from its conception, planning and implementation, up to its evaluation. The authors attempt to combine traditional teaching methods with modern connectivist theories that utilize the services of Web 2.0 and 3.0 considering that the development of a Teaching Scenario in the modern technologically enriched environment is a fascinating search and at the same time an intellectual adventure. In fact, the authors of the present project favor the development of Teaching Scenarios with the use of Digital Media, combining the advantages of the methodological approach of the TS with the parallel empowerment of students’ digital knowledge and skills. This particular combination can be an excellent exercise for today's students in relation to their future activity, both in the scientific and the wider professional field. The authors, being aware of the constantly changing educational environment and their personal limitations, attempt to provide a trigger, an occasion, the pretext and a justification to teachers of all educational levels, to participate in the creative process of developing Teaching Scenarios. Finally, the authors’ desire is to contribute to the pedagogical utilisation of Digital Media in the design and implementation of effective teaching.
