Abstract: |
In this chapter the reader is introduced to the specific learning disorder with deficit in writing (dysgraphia). In particular, a description is made with reference to the diagnosis, characteristics, prevalence and comorbidity of the disorder, as well as the factors that are responsible for dysgraphia. In addition, with the inclusive didactic approach, which follows, the dysgraphic student's learning barriers are presented and suggestions for universal planning of learning and differentiation of teaching are made. Finally, the chapter concludes with suggestions for a supportive individualized teaching of the dysgraphic student.
