Abstract: |
This chapter presents the learning and development of spelling. Initially, spelling is presented as a language function. Then, the conceptual content of the term spelling skills and its role as a central administrator of reading and writing are presented. Moreover, some of the most representative learning models of spelling skills and the main factors that contribute to its effective learning, development and manifestation are presented. Finally, based on the theoretical framework, didactic approaches and applications are suggested for the development of students' spelling skills.
