This chapter associates reading fluency with reading comprehension, the basic elements of reading fluency (accuracy, speed, prosody and flexibility) are presented, as well as the process of its evaluation and didactic approaches and applications for its development. Particular reference is made to the relationship between reading ability and learning difficulties and disabilities.
