Abstract: |
This book is addressed to IT teachers of all levels of formal education to IT teachers of technical education as well as to IT teachers aimed at people with special skills.
The book deals with the didactics of Informatics both in the context of general and in the context of special education. Using well-known learning theories and modern teaching techniques and taking into account the extensive use of the Internet by both students and teachers, we attempt to document a comprehensive guide for teaching IT using web 2.0 tools and social networking tools.
At the same time, an important reference is made to mental models and representations in the teaching of Informatics, as well as to their didactic importance in special education. Considering the importance of technological literacy (even today) and the ethical use of IT, a section of the book also refers to the development of IT skills using web 2.0 tools.
Recognizing educational scenarios as an inherent component of the educational package that accompanies a computing environment, we embrace them and emphasize their contribution to the teaching of informatics. Moreover, extensive reference is made to the utilization of teaching scenarios in both general and special education with the use of web 2.0 tools and relevant examples of the implementation of educational scenarios are given.
Finally, reference is made to the evaluation perspectives of web 2.0 tools and social networks both in terms of educational software and in terms of their satisfactory utilization in the teaching of IT in general and special education.
