Μουσεία και τυπική εκπαίδευση

Abstract

Τα μουσεία έχουν ιστορικά πολύ στενή σχέση με τα ιδρύματα τυπικής εκπαίδευσης και έχουν προσανατολίσει σε μεγάλο βαθμό τη συνολική εκπαιδευτική τους πολιτική σε σχολικές ομάδες. Το κεφάλαιο αυτό εστιάζει στις σχέσεις μουσείου-σχολείου, στις μορφές συνεργασίας μεταξύ τους και στις δραστηριότητες που υλοποιούνται για μαθητές και εκπαιδευτικούς. Παρουσιάζονται τα διαφορετικά είδη δραστηριοτήτων που προσφέρονται από τα μουσεία όπως εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα, επιμορφωτικές δραστηριότητες και υλικό για εκπαιδευτικούς κ.λ.π. Παραδείγματα από την ελληνική και διεθνή μουσειοπαιδαγωγική εμπειρία τεκμηριώνουν την παρουσίαση. Τέλος, αναφορά γίνεται σε εκπαιδευτικές δράσεις που υλοποιούνται από εκπαιδευτικούς για παράδειγμα σχέδια εργασίας με τη μέθοδο project, επεξεργασία μουσειοσκευών κλπ. Βαρύτητα δίνεται σε ζητήματα σχεδιασμού από την πλευρά των εκπαιδευτικών με στόχο την ανάδειξη του μουσείο ως χώρου συζήτησης, έμπνευσης και δημιουργίας.

Museum and formal education settings have been historically a key field for the fulfillment of the educational role of museums. This close collaboration has contributed to the development of museum education as a discipline that serves the educational mission of museums. Museums work together with schools with different objectives and forms of cooperation depending on both national and institutions education policies. Schools can significantly enrich the learning experiences of their students through museum visits, whether they are organised by the teachers themselves or by museum educators. Educational programmes for school groups are more or less pre-oriented towards school curricula, depending on their objectives. Overall, it is important to establish close partnerships between the two categories of institutions in order to develop an extended collaboration for the development of educational activities that are based on the specific characteristics of museum learning and enrich the educational experiences of pupils.
