Description:
Abstract:
Theoretical part: Reading the primary DNA sequence (Sanger method). Presentation of next-generation sequencing (NGS) methods. Mutation and polymorphism. Types of mutations. Mutation nomenclature. Comparison of primary sequence reading results with reference sequences using computer software. Reading chromatograms. Use of the JEMBOSS software package. Practical part: 1) Reading chromatograms 2) Comparing results with a reference sequence using ClustalX software 3) Determining changes in the amino acid sequence of the encoded protein (examples of polymorphisms in the TAS2R38 gene) using JEMBOSS software 4) Mutation nomenclature.
