Description:
Abstract:
The steps for DNA isolation include the lysis of cell membranes, degradation of proteins, separation of DNA from other cellular components, purification, and storage of DNA in an appropriate buffer solution. DNA is an excellent starting material for molecular biology experiments because it can be easily isolated from many sources, is extremely stable, and can be preserved for a long time under simple freezing conditions. In the experimental part, DNA is isolated from epithelial cells of the oral mucosa.
