Description:
Abstract:
Eight chapter explains the basic principles of a chromatographic separation and presents the main concepts and terminology of chromatographic analysis. Among the chromatographic techniques, emphasis is placed on High Pressure Liquid Chromatography and Thin Layer Chromatography, which are most applicable to clinical analysis. The applications of High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography in qualitative and quantitative determination and separation techniques will be described in detail (such as the determination of glycosylated haemoglobin). The chapter concludes with an experimental example of drug determination in serum.
