Description:
Abstract:
Sixth chapter will describe the most important immunochemical techniques: immunoenzymatic, radioimmunoenzymatic and chemiluminescence techiques. All three techniques are the main ways of qualitative and quantitative determination of proteins. They all use antibodies and also enzymes, radioisotopes and chemical luminescence compounds. A reference to the IVD immunochemical methods will be done (see Chapters 7 & 9). ELISA methods will be described in detail because of its ease of use in terms of equipment, technique, safety and the variety of protein molecules that can be determined by it.
