Description:
Abstract:
This chapter serves as an appendix to Chapter 2, as it includes the presentation of standardized screening and psychometric tools developed for the Greek language within the framework of the European program EPEAK, which was made public in 2008. Initially, the chapter presents the twelve screening tools developed by an inter-university team under the scientific supervision of Prof. Porpodas K. These tools assess and explore difficulties in reading, written expression, language and speech disorders, memory, learning and categorization, psychosocial adjustment, identification of learning disabilities, reading errors, executive functions, attention, and concentration. They also include the screening of specific learning disabilities using automated procedures and related software. Subsequently, the chapter presents the psychometric criteria and tools developed by an inter-university team of specialists under the scientific supervision of Prof. Tzouriadou Maria. These tools evaluate linguistic proficiency, mathematical competency in young children and adolescents, school-social competency, and perceptual function, and include the two versions of the Detroit Test.
