Abstract

Το κεφάλαιο αυτό παρουσιάζει τις διαδοχικές πολυπλοκότητες στην κατανόηση σχέσεων δομής και λειτουργίας στο νευρικό σύστημα, από τις φυσικοχημικές διαστάσεις του χώρου και του χρόνου έως τη συνολική δράση σε επίπεδο οργανισμού. Ένα τέτοιο πλαίσιο υπερβαίνει τα παραδοσιακά όρια στην κατανόηση εγκεφάλου-συμπεριφοράς από τη σχολαστική υποδιαίρεση των νευροεπιστημών που βασίζεται σε μεθόδους. Αντίθετα, κινεί μία προοπτική που ξεκινά από τη διαθέσιμη γνώση και επανεξετάζει τα θέματα της νόησης ως το αθροιστικό πρόβλημα όλης της ζωής.

This chapter presents the successive complexities in understanding the relationships between structure and function in the nervous system, ranging from the physicochemical dimensions of space and time to the overall action at the organism level. Such a framework transcends the traditional boundaries in understanding brain-behavior relationships that stem from the meticulous subdivision of neurosciences based on methods. Instead, it proposes a perspective that starts from the available knowledge and reexamines the issues of cognition as the cumulative problem of the entire life.
