Description:
Abstract:
This chapter deals with the nature of the most common sources of spatial data. The term spatial data is wide. The discussion here refers to: a) spatial data, such as administrative boundaries (regions, prefectures, municipalities); and b) socioeconomic and demography data with spatial reference (such as Population Census statistics). The main sources of the above data are the Hellenic Statistical Authority (EL.STAT.), Public Open Data, Eurostat and other National Statistics Offices.
