Abstract: |
The chapter discusses the concept of the container for the encoded and compressed video and audio flows. Program and mainly transport stream encapsulation mechanisms are discussed. The structure and mechanism to identify the packets belonging to a specific program as well as those of its individual video and audio flows are based on Program Association (PAT) and Program Map Table (PMT) tables. The structure of the packets is also discussed.
