The fist chapter begins with the history of sampling and related techniques from 1895 till today passing through some basic and interesting historical points. Also some definitions and descriptions of basic ideas of sampling are given, like Population Sample, Sampling techniques,random variables and their operation.Also some definitions of the parameters of the random variables and their estimators are given. Some properties of the estimators are also studied. These properties are bias, unbiasedness, consistency, etc.
