The " geothermal energy " is an energy resource which in Greece , until the present time , has not attracted investor interest although small recovery facilities have been created. This chapter is an introduction to the terminology of geothermal energy in the types of geothermal fields and their potential uses. The presentation concludes with a summary of the advantages and disadvantages in the use of various applications.
