| Abstract: |
In this chapter, reference will be made to the strategies and factors to prevent the occurrence of carious lesions in the teeth as well as their non-invasive-surgical treatment. The role of oral hygiene will be analyzed, as well as the protective role and mechanisms of action of fluoride. The antimicrobial agents used in the treatment of caries will be analyzed as well as the calcifying agents used to prevent and heal carious lesions. Finally, the modern protocols used for the non-invasive treatment of carious lesions will be described and analyzed. The structure of the chapter will be made with texts, images, interactive figures and videos.
