Description:
Abstract:
In Chapter 2, approaches to the role of Drama in Education (DiE) and the forms of its instructional management are presented. It is argued that DiE belongs to the broader category of applied theatre, where the dramatic art constitutes a social act aiming at some form of change. In this form, DiE serves as an educational tool within the framework of aesthetic education, achieving learning through action in various fields. Pedagogically, it operates with a dual nature: based on play, which refers to pleasure, it imposes the discipline of theatrical art. The text outlines the stages of a puppet theatre instructional sequence, where students are required to: Research the idea that their study will project. Write the script. Select and practice the appropriate technique. Construct the characters and the scenic space. Animate the characters. Perfect their study through rehearsals and integrate it into a complete performance. Expose themselves to the audience. Design exercises are proposed.
