Description:
Abstract:
This chapter addresses methodologies and topics related to the development of Web Information Systems (WIS). It is essential that such a system first has a clear goal to address the problem or need it aims to solve. A clear development methodology must be adopted, where the requirements for the IIS are recorded precisely to capture the functional specifications. Following this, the design of the application and the database is examined, with a brief presentation of the UML language. This is followed by the implementation and verification of the application's correctness, with the ultimate goal of its productive operation. The chapter concludes with a discussion on methods for evaluating the effectiveness of the application, which should accompany its operation.
