Description:
Abstract:
This chapter provides a detailed examination of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). It begins with an extensive discussion of its technical and business advantages, as well as its implementation methods. The chapter then explores the relationship between SOA and Web Services (WS), including the security it provides. A real-world application of SOA is presented, specifically the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), with an analysis of its feasibility and components. The chapter concludes with an example of an open-source ESB.
