It includes internalisation policies and foreign direct investment, as well as externalisation policies and forms of internationalisation with or without capital involvement. The latter includes forms such as joint ventures, fade-in and fade-out strategies, licensing agreements, subcontracting, turnkey contracts, strategic alliances, and franchising.
