Description:
Abstract:
The second chapter addresses the theoretical variations of international trade and international business. It includes, among others, Hymer's monopolistic competitive advantage, Coase, and Williamson's internalisation-externalisation problem of the specific competitive advantages of the firm, and Dunning's eclectic paradigm. The theory of the international firm in the light of an oligopolistic or even monopolistic approach to imperfect competition is contrasted with the neoclassical analysis of full information and equal access to markets for final goods and factors of production.
