Abstract:
This chapter consists of four sections. The first section provides some basic introductory elements on measuring spectral absorption in the near-infrared region. The second section elaborates on the principles of the method, while the third section describes the application method, both in practice and in clinical studies. In the fourth and final section, the reliability and validity of the method are discussed.
