Abstract:
In this chapter, the reasons why measuring human body composition is necessary, as well as the general definitions and models that assist in studying this subject, are developed. It is divided into four distinct sections: introduction, definitions of various terms used, classification of body fat categories, various standards/ models for studying body composition, and finally, a discussion where other useful parameters of this subject are elaborated upon.
