Authors: Misouridou, Evdokia
Reviewer: Matsa Bozana, Katerina
Description:
Abstract:
The first chapter attempts to define the framework for the practice of addiction nursing. First, the scope of the problem is presented, which justifies the emphasis on establishing a satisfactory management of addiction problems in the general hospital, in primary health care and in specialised treatment centres for addiction. The necessity of training health professionals in the approach to psychoactive substance use is then discussed. Finally, the role of the nurse of addicted persons is outlined.
